In their place, I play cards that would impact the board by themselves. So I took out all most of the combo pieces (save for the dredge land, since it's still really good without the combo). So what I then thought was that infinite combos aren't really that fun to play and play against in my play group. Back when I still played the combo frog, while I was still assembling the combo, those pieces sit in my hand and feel pretty useless. Let's put it another way, the pieces for the infinite dredge combo aren't really good themselves. This combo is vulnerable to instant spot enchant removal (if they pop Crossroads at the beginning of combat you could be in trouble), requires one of three mass reanimation spells in hand to work, and gets shut down by any number of cards, which imo makes it fairly appropriate for casual. Titania in the deck lets you get a land back so you'll have mana for Crossroads. Run a ton of dorks, tutor up Hermit Druid, activate him to dump the library, then drop a mass reanimation spell getting back a bunch of dudes + C-Hoof + E-Wit. If it's gotta be non-infinite combo, you could try what I did with my first build of the deck. If you're flipping your whole deck you should be winning that turn, otherwise why even play dredge? If your group doesn't like combo Gitrog probably isn't a good choice since his main strength is his synergy with graveyard combo - you can build him as a durdly draw engine but that's going to result in long turns that go nowhere. I can see that being irritating if you're just durdling.
